Consul Axel Nielsen Memorial Scholarship

You will receive a one-off grant of around 2,700 EUR for a study trip abroad lasting at least 3 months. The funds come from the ‘Mindefond for Konsul Axel Nielsen’, a Danish foundation established in 1940 in accordance with the will of Consul Axel Nielsen of Odense. The grant applies exclusively to individual trips, and your trip must not end before 1 January of the year in which you receive the grant.

Who can apply

• Field of study: You are studying a business-related subject in the social sciences, linguistics or the humanities at a business school or university.
• Career link: Your future career is likely to be linked to the Danish business world.
• Where you go: You are travelling abroad for at least 3 months as part of an independent trip. Group tours do not count.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
• Green transition: Applications focused on the commercial side of the green transition get priority.
• Not funded: Courses for the public sector.

How to apply

Applications must be submitted online via the Foundation’s portal. The portal opens on 1 November of the previous year, and the deadline for applications is 15 March. You will receive a response by the end of June, and funding is usually approved within the same month.
