What you get

You will receive a one-off grant of 300 EUR (£300) for a project of your choice, such as a study trip, a research placement abroad, a language exchange or a volunteering placement. The funding comes from ‘Santander Universities’, a partnership between the bank and the University of Plymouth that supports student projects. The grant is valid for one academic year and is intended to support your studies, personal development or career prospects. The exact amount may vary, and the panel may award a lower sum if it wishes to fund only part of your project.

Who can apply

• University: You’re studying at the University of Plymouth.
• Level: Both undergraduate and postgraduate students are eligible to apply.
• Field of study: Any subject.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
• Your project: You can demonstrate that your planned project, trip or study visit will clearly benefit your studies, research or career prospects.
• Priority groups: Priority is given to students from African-American, Asian or other ethnic minority backgrounds. Where financial resources permit, priority is then given to students from regions with low rates of university enrolment, students with a recognised disability, and vulnerable groups such as former care home residents.
