Kejsar Alexander II:s stipendiefond scholarship (Eckerö municipality)

You will receive a one-off study scholarship of 250 EUR. The fund is administered by the municipality of Eckerö (Eckerö kommun) in Åland, Finland. It supports students from Eckerö who are studying outside Åland. In some years, the municipal council may award more than one scholarship or set a different amount.

Who can apply

• Where you live: You are registered as a resident of Eckerö both in the year you submitted your application and in the previous year. If you have been registered as a resident of Eckerö for at least three years, Eckerö will continue to be regarded as your home municipality even after you have moved to your place of study.
• Where you study: You are studying at a university, a university of applied sciences or a vocational college outside Åland.
• Progress: You have already studied at your current institution for at least two semesters.
• Field of study: Any subject.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
• Grades and need: The committee decides on two matters, in the following order: first, your academic performance at your current level of study; second, your financial circumstances.

How to apply

You apply to Eckerö municipality once the scholarship is announced with its conditions. The municipal board decides who gets it and invites the recipient to the municipal office.
