About this scholarship

Joussot-Dubien Excellence Award

You will receive a one-off grant of 10,000 EUR grant to fund a work placement (a supervised work placement) at one of the partner universities selected by the ENSMAC International Office. The prize is awarded by ENSMAC (formerly ENSCBP), the School of Chemical, Biological and Physical Engineering at Bordeaux INP in France. It honours Jacques Joussot-Dubien, a former director who expanded the institution’s international relations.

Who can apply

  • Where you study: You are a student at ENSMAC (Bordeaux INP) and are going abroad to undertake a work placement at a partner university.
  • Field of study: Chemistry or a related field, such as physical chemistry, materials science, polymer chemistry, analytical chemistry or food science.
  • Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
  • Results: You’ve got very good marks. The award is given to high-achieving pupils.

How to apply

Please apply via the university’s Office for International Relations. The application deadline is 1 May.

How realistic are your chances?

This funding is highly restricted. You must already be enrolled at ENSMAC on a chemistry-related degree programme and have been selected to study at a partner university. As a result, the number of students eligible for funding is small. Nevertheless, the scholarship, worth 10,000 EUR, attracts fierce competition amongst high-achieving students. If you clearly fit the subject area, can demonstrate excellent results and apply by the deadline in May, your chances are good.
