SFD grant for the AAD congress

You will receive 3,000 EUR as a one-off grant to attend the annual congress of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) in the United States. The Société Française de Dermatologie (SFD), the French professional association for dermatology, awards 4 such grants each year to enable young French dermatologists to attend.

Who can apply

• Profession: You are a trainee dermatologist or are at the start of your career in France: you are a junior doctor (interne), a Chef de clinique assistant (CCA) or a hospital doctor (praticien hospitalier).
• Age: You are under 35.
• Membership: You are a member of the SFD (junior or full member) and have paid your annual membership fee.
• Nationality: You are a French dermatologist.
• First time: You have never received this grant before.

How to apply

Please send your complete application to the SFD by 30 April. The SFD will review all applications in mid-May and select the winners. The results will be announced at the end of May.

How realistic are your chances?

The pool of eligible applicants is small: only French dermatologists under the age of 35 who are members of the SFD and have never received a grant before may apply, and only 4 grants are awarded each year. If you clearly meet these criteria and submit a compelling application by the deadline, your chances are good.
