What you get

You will receive a certificate from University College Cork if you come second in your year group in the summer examinations during the second year of the ‘Graduate Entry Medicine’ programme (programme code CK791). The university awards this prize once a year to the student with the second-highest overall mark across the modules for that year. This prize does not include a cash award. In a year where standards are low, the university may decide not to award the prize at all if no one achieves a sufficiently high standard.

Who can apply

• University and course: You are enrolled as a second-year student on the ‘Graduate Entry Medicine’ programme at University College Cork (CK791).
• Result: You achieved the second-highest overall mark in your class in the second-year summer exams.
• Grades: You achieve a ‘First Honours’ grade – the highest level of achievement – in every examination subject.
• Nationality: All nationalities welcome.

How to apply

You do not need to submit an application. The university will award the certificate automatically based on your examination results in the summer of your second year of study.
