Foundation "SAN RAFFAELE CITTADELLA DELLA CARITÀ" - Scholarship "Mons. G. Motolese"

What you get

For your studies at a university in Taranto, southern Italy, you will receive a one-off grant of 1,000 EUR. This will be awarded in the form of a written or multimedia project that you submit, rather than as a monthly payment. The prize is awarded by the Fondazione San Raffaele Cittadella della Carità, a charitable foundation established in memory of Monsignor Guglielmo Motolese, the former Archbishop of Taranto.

Who can apply

• Where you study: You are enrolled in a Bachelor's degree course (laurea) at a Taranto campus of either the Polytechnic University of Bari or the University of Bari 'Aldo Moro'.
• Field of study: These campuses in Taranto mainly offer courses in engineering, economics and business law.
• Where you live: You live in the Archdiocese of Taranto.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
• Your project: You submit an original written or multimedia piece on a theme set each year by the Archbishop of Taranto and the foundation's board.

How to apply

Please send your application form and your project to the foundation in Taranto by 11 October. A jury will then assess the projects submitted.

How realistic are your chances?

This scholarship is awarded to only a very small number of applicants. You must be studying at one of the two universities mentioned, at a campus in Taranto, and be resident in the Archdiocese of Taranto, which means that very few people apply for it. Selection depends on the quality of your project, not just on your grades. If you meet these local requirements and put a great deal of effort into producing a compelling, well-researched piece of work on the specified topic, your chances are good.
