What the LIUC Amici scholarship gives you

You will receive a scholarship of 500 EUR to study economics and business administration at the private LIUC – Università Cattaneo in Castellanza, near Varese, in northern Italy. The scholarship is awarded once per academic year. The funds come from the ‘Associazione Amici LIUC’, a friends’ association of the university. It raises funds from companies, local groups and private donors to finance scholarships for high-achieving students who also require financial support.

Who can apply

• University: You are studying at LIUC – Università Cattaneo in Castellanza, Italy.
• Field of study: You are enrolled on a degree programme in Economics and Management (Economia e Management) at the University’s Faculty of Economics.
• Grades: You have achieved good results at school, as this award is based on academic performance.
• Financial need: Your family income is also taken into account. You must submit a valid ISEE certificate – that is, the official Italian certificate detailing your household’s income and assets – together with the DSU declaration on which it is based.
• Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply, provided they are studying at LIUC.

How to apply

You must submit an application form to the University’s Student Financial Support Office (Servizio per il Diritto allo Studio), together with your ISEE certificate and your DSU declaration. The deadline is in mid-October each autumn, once the call for applications for that year has been published. Scholarship recipients will be announced at the end of November.

How realistic are your chances?

This scholarship is highly selective. You must already be studying economics at this particular Italian university and demonstrate both good academic results and financial need, meaning that only a small number of people are eligible. As only a handful of scholarships are awarded each year, a compelling application is crucial. If you clearly meet the criteria and can provide proof of your income, your chances are good.
