Ogni due anni, la regione dei Midi-Pyrenées organizza il Fermat Junior Award in matematica. Gli studenti non ancora laureati sono invitati a presentare un'elegante nuova dimostrazione di un risultato matematico in massimo dieci pagine. Lo studente aggiudicatario riceve un premio del valore di 2000 euro.
