General Description

The State Scholarship Foundation (I.K.Y.) offers scholarships to international students who are interested in attending courses and seminars in Modern Greek Language and Culture at Greek universities. Recipients will be paid a monthly scholarship of 150 Euro (plus a one-off allowance of 200 euro for initial expenses) for a maximum of 8 months.

Requirements

Applicants must be graduates in the fields of Humanities, Social and Political Sciences, from any country in the world except Greece, whose degree is issued by a non-Greek higher education institution. They must provide an up-to-date curriculum vitae and certified copies of their finished university degrees. A basic knowledge of the Greek language will be required. The age of applicants must not exceed 40 years old.
