City of Vienna - Subsidies for Literature - Elias Canetti Scholarships of the City of Vienna

General Description

The city of Vienna provides Viennese authors with a scholarship of 1,500 Euros per month. The scholarship lasts for one year but can be extended for an additional year. The scholarship will be awarded to authors who are working on a large literary work and is designed for them to be able to focus on their work.

Requirements

The scholarship requires a written application. Applicants must have been born in Vienna or have their residence there for at least three years. Applicants must provide: • Resume with (maximum 5.000 symbols) • Sample from the literary work that the scholarship should suuport (maximum 25,000 symbols) • Project proposal (maximum 5,000 symbols)
