General Description

The National Scholarship is awarded to 390 students at the University of West London. The award of £2,000 is given as a fee waiver together with £1,000 towards the cost of study. The aim is to help student who come from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Requirements

The most important requirement is that the applicant student's household income is £25,000 a year or less. Other than that students must have applied for means tested student support from Student Finance England. This scholarship is only rewarded to first year undergraduate full-time students. Priority is given to students who are care leavers, and to disabled students. Students who are supported by the Governments of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are not eligible because those governments have their own scholarship packages. International students, NHS-funded students, students who directly continue from one course to another, students who are transferring from another Higher Educational Institution, postgraduate students, and students who have some kind of sponsorship arrangement, are also not eligible.
