General Description
The German Academic Exchange Service provides scholarships of €1000 per month, to enable PhD students to conduct long-term research in Germany. For joint thesis students, the maximum duration of the scholarship is 18 months. For students studying in Germany only, these award is granted for one year, but can be extended to 3 years in some cases. The grant may also cover additional costs, such as travel, accommodation, health insurance, and research grants.
Requirements
Applicants must have a Masters degree and prior contacts with the German research institute they are applying to. They must also have a good knowledge of the German language.
