General Description
The Belgian Historical Institute in Rome (BHIR) grant was established in 1902. It provides funding and support to researchers in history, art history, philology and archaeology, mainly with a focus in Italy and Rome. The grant is intended for historical research in archives, in libraries, on archaeological sites and in museums. The grant provides the researcher with a fixed allowance to cover travel expenses and living costs.
Requirements
You must either have a Master's degree or PhD in Humanities, or be engaged in research that serves the objectives of the Belgian Historical Institute in Rome (BHIR).
