About this scholarship

What the High Achievement Scholarship gives you

You receive about 2,300 EUR per year (GBP 2,000) for up to three years of your Bachelor’s degree, amounting to a total of approximately 6,900 euros. This was a merit-based grant from the University of Greenwich in the United Kingdom, awarded on the basis of academic achievement rather than financial need. To continue receiving the grant in the second and third years, you had to pass at least 120 credits and achieve an overall mark of at least 60% in the previous year.

Who can apply

  • Level: You will begin a full-time Bachelor’s degree programme in the first year. Postgraduate programmes do not count towards this, and you cannot join the programme directly in the second or third year.
  • Where you study: You are studying on a face-to-face programme at one of the main campuses (Avery Hill, Greenwich or Medway). Online and distance-learning programmes are not eligible, and students at the Medway School of Pharmacy are excluded.
  • Field of study: All compartments are open.
  • Nationality: You are a student from the United Kingdom or the EU and pay the domestic tuition fee.
  • Fees: You are responsible for paying the full tuition fees of 9,000 GBP yourself. Students who receive a full scholarship, a partial scholarship or funding from the NHS are not eligible to apply.
  • Grades: You must have A-level results of ABB or above, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the university.
  • Residence: You do not normally live in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.

How to apply

There was no separate application process. The university automatically selected those students who met the criteria. Applicants had to list Greenwich as their (first) choice by the deadline in May, or accept a place via the ‘clearing’ or ‘adjustment’ process.
