Talisman Business Scholarship

Throughout your degree, you received a total of around 12,925 EUR, paid out over a period of 36 months, to study Business Administration at Robert Gordon University (RGU) in Aberdeen, Scotland. The funding came from Talisman Energy (UK) Limited, an oil and gas company. Depending on your grades, you may also be offered an internship at Talisman. The aim was to ensure that the cost did not prevent you from studying, and to attract young people to the energy sector.

• Career direction: Preference was given to students who were aiming for a career in the oil and gas industry.
• Nationality: Any nationality could apply.

How realistic were your chances?

The selection criteria for this award were narrowly defined: a university, a business school and a focus on students aspiring to a career in the energy sector. This kept the pool of applicants small, meaning that those who clearly met the criteria had good prospects. Please note that this programme ran only until around 2015 and is no longer available.
