About this scholarship
What you get
For outstanding academic achievement, you will receive a one-off payment of 750 EUR. The Burgenland University of Applied Sciences in Eisenstadt, Austria, awards these merit scholarships once a year to its most successful students. This is a one-off award per award round, not a monthly scholarship, and is intended to recognise achievements already made rather than to cover ongoing costs.
Who can apply
- University: You are enrolled at Burgenland University of Applied Sciences.
- Level: You are studying for a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
- Grades: Your average mark is 2.0 or higher. In the Austrian system, this corresponds to at least a ‘good’ grade, meaning that only the best students are selected.
- Field of study: Any subject.
- Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
How to apply
You don’t need to go looking for them. Every year at the beginning of October, the university sends out the application packs to all students via the degree programme secretariats. Places are allocated solely on the basis of your grade point average; there is neither an interview nor a selection panel.
How realistic are your chances?
This award is presented exclusively to enrolled students with a grade point average of 2.0 or higher, meaning that the pool of applicants is small and the decisive criterion is crystal clear. If your grades are good, your chances are good, as the decision is based on your results rather than on a subjective assessment. Make sure you keep an eye out for the documents that your degree programme office will send out in October so that you don’t miss the application deadline.
