University College Cork - The Thorley Sweetman Prize

General Description

The Thorley Sweetman Prize was perpetuated in memory of the late Dr. Thorley Sweetman. He attended University College Cork as a graduate student then became a staff member in the Geology Department. This prize is awarded annually to the BSc (Hons) mapping project that obtains the highest marks in the Final Honors Examination. The prize is currently valued at €750 and includes a parchment.

Requirements

The student must be a registered student of University College Cork. The student must be a Geology major. The students mapping project must score the highest marks in the final honors exam.
