Wallonie-Bruxelles International - Traineeships Abroad for Young Entrepreneurs

Benefit

You will receive 500 EUR per week for up to 2 weeks (up to a total of 1,000 EUR) to establish contacts abroad for your new business. You will also be reimbursed for 75% of your return ticket (economy-class flight or train journey) up to a maximum of 700 EUR. During your trip, you will meet potential international partners, test a foreign market and establish cooperation. The ‘Envol à l’international’ programme is run by Wallonie-Bruxelles International (WBI) in collaboration with the Walloon export agency AWEX. WBI is the agency for international relations of Wallonia and the French-speaking Community of Belgium.

Eligibility

• Your business: You set up a company based in Wallonia less than 2 years ago, or you are currently in the process of setting up a company.
• Where you live: If your business does not yet exist, you live in Wallonia.
• Nationality: Applicants of any nationality are welcome to apply. What matters is your connection to Wallonia.
• Field: Applications are welcome from all sectors. Projects from Wallonia’s key sectors (life sciences, the agri-food industry, mechanical engineering, logistics, aerospace and sustainable chemistry) are particularly well suited.
• Destination: You can choose any country in the world. You must explain why you chose it.

How to apply

Please send the application form to WBI. The deadline for applications is 1 November for trips between January and June and 1 May for trips between July and December. WBI and AWEX will select the candidates jointly.
