Maraite Fund

You get a one-off or ongoing grant if you have a low income and study at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) in Brussels. The amount is not fixed in advance. The ULB Student Social Service works it out from your situation and the money in the fund. The Maraite Fund is one of over 200 internal funds the university runs from donations and bequests, each for a specific group of students.

Who can apply

• Where you study: You are enrolled at the ULB in Brussels.
• Degree level: You are in a bachelor's degree, your first degree.
• Faculty: You study at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences or at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management.
• Financial need: You have a low income and need help to pay for your studies.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.

How to apply

You make your request at the intake desk of the Student Social Service on the Solbosch campus, ideally during a social interview. For the 2026-2027 academic year, apply between 24 August 2026 and 16 April 2027 at 13:00.
