About this scholarship

What the KVL's Anniversary Foundation gives you

You get a grant worked out case by case for costs that regular university money does not cover. It is mainly for a study stay outside Denmark or for starting a research project. The fund shares out about 100,000 DKK (around 13,400 EUR) each year, and single grant sizes are not published in advance. It is run by the Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences (SCIENCE) at the University of Copenhagen. It was set up in 1958 to mark the 100-year anniversary of the former Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University (KVL).

Who can apply

  • Who you are: You are a student or member of staff at the Faculty of Science (SCIENCE) at the University of Copenhagen. Clubs and voluntary groups associated with these fields are also welcome to apply.
  • Field of study: You work in one of the subjects once linked to the old KVL: agronomy, biology-biotechnology, food science, agricultural economics, landscape architecture, environmental science or natural resources.
  • What it funds: A study period abroad (outside Denmark) or the start of a research project. Bachelor’s or Master’s theses written entirely in Denmark are not eligible for funding.
  • No double funding: Erasmus or NORDPLUS do not already cover the costs of the stay.
  • Timing: Your activity has not yet started by the application deadline.
  • Nationality: All nationalities can apply.

How to apply

You will need to complete the online application form on KUNet, the University of Copenhagen’s intranet. To access this, you will need a KU login. The application window opens on 1 February, and the deadline for applications is 1 April.
