About this scholarship

Benefit

Upon completing Sangskolen, the singing school run by the City of Copenhagen (Sankt-Annae-Gymnasium in Valby), you will receive a one-off grant to help fund your further musical education. The amount per person is not disclosed. According to one estimate, the total annual sum amounts to approximately 100,000 DKK (approximately 13,400 EUR), which is divided amongst all recipients. The fund was established in 1945 by the music publisher Asger Wilhelm Hansen, who founded the Copenhagen Boys’ Choir. Today, it is jointly administered by the choir and Sankt-Annae-Gymnasium.
