What you get

You will receive a cash allowance for your further education or support if you are ill. The money is divided into several instalments of at least 500 DKK (approximately 67 EUR) each, so that you receive a share of the total amount rather than a fixed sum. The exact annual budget is not published. In addition, every year a pupil from the founders’ former school receives a merit award. The money comes from a private Danish foundation established by Jens Hansen, a teacher from Pederstrup, and his wife Dagmar Hansen (née Dencker).

Who can apply

• Family link: Descendants of the founders take precedence, particularly the descendants of the founders’ siblings.
• Local link: Students from the Mogenstrup and Næstelsø parishes in Denmark can also receive part of the funds.
• Field of study: Any subject.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
• What you need the money for: Your education, or support during illness.

How to apply

Please submit a written application explaining why you are applying. In your application, please state your relationship to the founders, your date of birth, your study plans and your educational background to date. No application deadline has been announced at present.
