Tømrerm. H.V. Frederiksens legat til minde om smedem. P. Frederiksen og hustru af Vindinge - Master Carpenter H. V. Frederiksen's Scholarship in Memory of Master Blacksmith Peter Frederiksen and Wife of Vindinge

What you get

You will receive a one-off grant of about 5,000 DKK (around 670 EUR) for your vocational training or degree course in Denmark. This is a one-off payment, not a monthly allowance. The money comes from a Danish charitable foundation, which was set up in memory of a blacksmith and his wife from Vindinge to help the founder’s family finance an education.

Who can apply

• Family link: You are a relative of the foundation’s founder, the master carpenter. You cannot apply unless you have a family connection.
• Field of study: Any subject. You can use the grant towards a vocational training course or any other course.
• Where you study: You’re studying in Denmark.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.

The foundation also pays a separate rent subsidy to elderly blacksmiths, carpenters and masons from the former Roskilde county who have stopped working because of age or illness. That part is not a study grant.

How to apply

Please send your application to the Foundation’s administration in Copenhagen. The deadlines are 1 April and 1 May.
