Jesper Pedersen and Wife's Memorial Scholarship (Esbjerg Municipality)

You get a one-off grant towards a stay at an agricultural school (landbrugsskole) or a Danish folk high school (højskole). A folk high school is a residential school where young people study general subjects for a few months. Any money left over can also support other further education. The exact amount is not stated. Esbjerg Municipality (Esbjerg Kommune) runs the grant for a memorial fund set up in 1979, and pays it out in December.

Who can apply

• Local link: You belong to the parish of Tjæreborg (Tjæreborg Sogn). You must prove this, or your application is not considered.
• What you are doing: You are an apprentice, a student at an agricultural school or folk high school, or in other further education.
• Proof of study: You have documentation of your current training, signed by your training supervisor or head of school.
• Financial need: Among applicants from Tjæreborg, those with the greatest need come first.
• Nationality: All nationalities can apply.

How to apply

You apply online through the Esbjerg Municipality funding portal. Applications by email are not accepted. The form is only visible while the application window is open, and the deadline is 16 December. The grant is announced each year in the local weekly paper Esbjerg ugeavis.
