Frederiksberg Municipality's Study Scholarship

You will receive a one-off payment of 8,000 DKK (about 1,070 EUR). If you are the parent living with a child under the age of 18, you will also receive 1,000 DKK (approximately 135 EUR) for each child living in your household. Frederiksberg Municipality (Frederiksberg Kommune) will transfer the amount to your Danish NemKonto, the bank account linked to your personal identification number for public payments. This payment is intended for students in financial difficulty.

Who can apply

• Where you live: You live in the municipality of Frederiksberg. How long you have lived there also plays a part in the decision. People from other areas may also apply, but local residents are given priority.
• Study: You are in education or training.
• Financial need: You are in genuine financial difficulty. Each application is assessed on the basis of your income and assets.
• Field of study: All subjects are open.
• Nationality: All nationalities can apply.

You may apply for several grants from the local authority at the same time, but you will only be awarded one. Only one person per household may receive a grant.

How to apply

You can apply for this online via the local authority’s self-service portal. It is not possible to apply by post. The deadline is 15 September. All applicants will be notified in December as to whether their application has been approved or rejected.
