What the family scholarship gives you

You will receive a cash grant. The amount and duration of the support are not fixed. Each case is assessed on an individual basis. The money supplements your own income so that you can cover your living costs or bring up your children. Louise Kjer set up this family fund in 1910 in memory of her parents, the captain and wine merchant Tyge Kjer and his wife Gertrud Marie.

Who can apply

• Family link: You are a direct descendant of the founders, Tyge Kjer and Gertrud Marie Kjer, and can provide proof of this.
• Financial need: You need additional financial support. The grant supplements your own income, but does not replace it.
• Where you study: You’re studying in Denmark.
• Field of study: Any subject.
• Nationality: Any nationality, provided you can prove the family connection.

How to apply

Please ask the scholarship administrator for an application form. The deadline for applications is 15 April, and the scholarships will be paid out in May.
