About this scholarship

Becas Accede scholarship (San Jorge University)

You will receive a discount of 30% to 50% off your tuition fees for one academic year at San Jorge University (USJ), a private university in Zaragoza, Spain. The exact percentage depends on your grades and your family’s income. The discount applies only to the fees for the modules you enrol on; it does not apply to credit points or other charges, and it will never exceed your total tuition fees. Each year, the university awards up to 50 of these scholarships to new students, with a maximum of 5 scholarships awarded per degree programme.

Who can apply

  • Where you study: You will be starting a full-time bachelor’s degree programme at the San Jorge University campus in Zaragoza. Almost all degree programmes are available, ranging from medicine and law to engineering and nursing, as well as psychology and dual degree programmes.
  • Study phase: You are a new student. You have applied for provisional admission, sat the university’s entrance examinations and paid the admission fee. Students who have already been awarded a scholarship may renew it in accordance with separate regulations.
  • Grades: You need a good average mark. If you’re graduating from a Spanish or international upper secondary school (Bachillerato), you must achieve at least 7.5. If you’re graduating from a higher vocational school (CFGS), you must achieve at least 8.0. The better your grades are, the higher the discount will be.
  • Financial need: According to your tax return, your family’s annual taxable income is 2024, and taking all household members into account, it is 50,000 EUR or less. For amounts below 40,000 EUR, the higher tax reliefs apply.
  • Property limit: The cadastral value of your household’s assets must not exceed 90,000 EUR, not including your home.
  • Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply. If you hold a foreign secondary school leaving certificate, the university will convert your marks.

How to apply

You apply online via the university and upload your academic transcript, proof of residence and your family’s tax documents for the year 2024. For the years 2026–27, there are four application deadlines, ending on 30 April, 18 June, 23 July and 10 September 2026. In the later deadlines, only those scholarships that have not yet been awarded will be made available. You may only apply for one degree programme.

How realistic are your chances?

Places are limited to 50, with only 5 available per degree programme. Places are allocated primarily to those applicants who were provisionally admitted earliest; it is therefore very important to apply during the first application window. You must also meet certain academic and income thresholds, which means that the pool of eligible applicants is quite small. If you meet these requirements, have good grades and apply early, your chances are good.
