About this scholarship
What you get
You will receive 1,700 EUR as a grant towards the tuition fees for the International Summer School ‘Management of Creativity in an Innovation Society’. This is a two-week programme run by HEC Montreal and the University of Barcelona. The first week takes place in Montreal, and the second in Barcelona. The total tuition fees amount to 5,000 CAD. The grant will be paid directly to HEC Montreal; you will be responsible for paying the remainder yourself. Travel and accommodation costs in Montreal are not covered, and you cannot combine this grant with any other scholarship for the same programme. In the 2014 round, two grants were available; in the 2018 round, one was offered.

How to apply
Download the application form from the University of Barcelona’s scholarship website and submit it to one of the UB’s General Secretariats. The application period lasts for two weeks in March and ends on 17. The selection process will take into account your grades, your interest in creativity and innovation, and your income; knowledge of French will earn you extra points. You may be invited to an interview; the decision will be made before 1 May.
How realistic are your chances?
This scholarship is aimed at a small target group: you must be studying at the University of Barcelona, fall under the 35 category and be on a low income; only one or two scholarships are awarded per round. As so few people qualify, your chances are good if you clearly meet the criteria and can demonstrate a genuine interest in creativity and innovation. Knowledge of French and good grades will give you a real advantage.
