About this scholarship

Benefit

You will receive a discount on the tuition fees for a continuing education course at the University of Almería. This discount is between 30% and 50% of what you paid and amounts to up to approximately 1,855 euros. ‘Continuing education’ refers to the university’s own continuing education courses, not a full degree programme. The University of Almería offers this grant to enable students from low-income households to take part in one of these courses. The grant applies to one course, and the number of places available depends on the budget.

Eligibility

  • Course type: You are enrolled on a continuing education course at the University of Almería. These are Master’s, expert and specialisation courses run by the university itself; they are not officially recognised Master’s degree programmes regulated by the state.
  • Timing: The registration period for your course ends after 31 May 2025 and before 1 June 2026.
  • Financial need: You come from a low-income household. The support is primarily aimed at those with the lowest household income.
  • Field of study: Any subject.
  • Nationality: Any nationality can apply.

How to apply

Apply online via the University of Almería’s ‘Campus Virtual’ in the ‘Becas UAL’ section between 21 May 2026 and 8 June 2026 (both dates inclusive). There will be no interview. Decisions on the award of scholarships will be based on your household income and the funds available. The results are expected to be announced in October or November 2026.

How realistic are your chances?

The group of people eligible for funding is small: you must already be enrolled on one of the university’s own continuing education courses and provide evidence of a low household income. The number of funding places depends on the budget, with priority given to those on the lowest incomes. If you clearly meet these criteria and can provide evidence of your financial situation, your chances are good.
