Elite Sport Scholarship at EADA

You will receive a discount of discount of 10% to 25% on the tuition fee on an MBA or Master’s programme at EADA Business School in Barcelona. The amount of the discount depends on your profile. For the International MBA, which has a tuition fee of 44,000 EUR, the discount amounts to approximately 4,400 to 11,000 EUR. The discount will be deducted from your final tuition fees; it is not a cash payment. You will also receive personalised guidance to help you plan your transition from a sporting career into the business world. The award is presented by EADA Business School.

Who can apply

• Who you are: You are a top-level athlete who is either still competing or nearing the end of your sporting career.
• Field of study: You would like to study for an MBA or a Master’s degree at EADA, for example the International MBA, the Executive MBA or a Master’s in Finance, Management or Marketing.
• Admission first: You must first pass the EADA admissions process for your chosen course.
• Nationality: Applicants of any nationality are welcome to apply. Gender is also irrelevant.

How to apply

You should submit your scholarship application together with your course application by email to EADA. You will need the application form, a personal statement and a letter of recommendation. The application deadlines for the October intake are on 20. of the month from January to June. You will be notified of the result by email within two weeks of the deadline. Apply early, as the number of scholarships is limited and later application rounds may already be fully booked.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is very narrowly defined: it is aimed exclusively at elite athletes who are making the transition into the business world, meaning that very few people meet the criteria. If you can demonstrate a genuine background in competitive sport and pass the EADA admissions process, your chances are good. As the number of scholarships is limited and they can be snapped up quickly, you should apply in one of the earlier monthly application rounds.
