University of Valencia Travel Bursaries

You will receive a travel allowance of up to 887 EUR. This consists of a flat-rate travel allowance of between 30 EUR and 285 EUR, which depends on your destination, and 25 EUR per day for up to 15 days. This covers the costs of attending an academic event outside your place of residence, such as a seminar, course, summer school, conference or congress related to your studies. The University of Valencia (Universitat de València) administers the programme through its Student Information Service (SEDI) to enable students to take part in further training outside their region.

Who can apply

• Where you study: You are enrolled in an official Bachelor's (Grado) or Master's degree at one of the University of Valencia's own centres.
• Level: You are not a PhD student.
• The activity: It is an academic event linked to your subject, it runs without interruption, and it has already finished when you apply.
• Location: The event is taking place outside your home district and outside your campus district.
• Not part of your degree: This event is not a compulsory part of any module or subject you are studying.
• Field of study: Open to all subjects.
• Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply, provided they are enrolled at the University of Valencia.

How to apply

You should submit your application online via the University of Valencia’s electronic portal once the event has ended. Please attach your certificate of attendance and supporting documents. There are two application deadlines each year: one ends on 28 May, the other on 6 October.

How realistic are your chances?

This scholarship is aimed exclusively at Bachelor’s and Master’s students at the University of Valencia and applies only to study trips outside the region; consequently, the number of eligible applicants is limited and the amounts awarded are modest. If you have taken part in an eligible event and can provide evidence of the date, location and costs incurred, a properly submitted application within one of the two application windows has a good chance of being approved.
