María Egea Chair Postgraduate Scholarships

You will receive 4,000 EUR to fund one year of the ‘Advanced Nursing Practice’ Master’s programme at the University of Navarra in Pamplona, Spain. Two scholarships will be awarded for the academic year 2026–2027. The funding comes from the María Egea Chair, a foundation for nursing research within the University’s Faculty of Nursing Sciences. It supports young nursing graduates who wish to embark on a career in research. In return, you will take part in the Chair’s activities, submit brief progress reports and record a short video sharing your experiences to promote the Chair.

Who can apply

• Degree: You hold a diploma or a Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Master admission: You have already been admitted to the ‘Advanced Nursing Practice’ Master’s programme at the University of Navarra. Only admitted applicants will be considered.
• Where you study: You are completing your Master’s degree in Pamplona, Spain, under the supervision of a professor at the University of Navarra.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
• Cost study: The University’s Admissions Office has produced a guide on costs and scholarships for you. It sets out your study costs and how to fund them.

How to apply

Applications should be submitted by email to the Office for Postgraduate Programmes in Nursing. Please send your CV, your academic transcript, a short letter of motivation and a letter of recommendation. The application deadline for 2026-2027 is 31 May 2026. The Faculty Board will review all applications and inform you of its decision within one month of the deadline.

How realistic are your chances?

This funding scheme is very narrowly defined. You must already have been admitted to a specific Master’s programme in advanced nursing at a university, meaning that only a small group of people are eligible to apply for the two places. If you already hold this admission and can provide a strong CV and a letter of recommendation, your chances are good. Whilst the narrow target group ensures a small pool of applicants, given that there are only two places available, a convincing, well-documented application is still essential.
