About this scholarship

CEU Merit Program scholarship

You get a discount on your tuition fees of 2,500 to 7,500 EUR per year to study a bachelor's degree at the Universidad CEU San Pablo in Madrid, Spain. The exact amount depends on your school-leaving grade average. If you are the single best applicant for your degree programme and have a grade average of 9 or higher, you get 100% of your tuition fees covered, whether for a single or a double degree. The scholarship renews automatically every academic year for the full length of your degree, as long as you keep the required grade average. You do not reapply each year. The award comes from the Fundación Universitaria San Pablo CEU, the body that runs the university.

Who can apply

  • Degree: You are starting a bachelor's degree at the Universidad CEU San Pablo.
  • Field of study: Open to all bachelor's programmes except Medicine, which has its own separate scholarship.
  • Grades: You finished your pre-university studies with an average of 8.0 or higher on the Spanish 10-point scale. For the full 100% award you need a 9 or higher and must be the top applicant for your programme.
  • School qualification: You completed the Spanish Bachillerato, higher vocational training, or an equivalent foreign qualification.
  • Nationality: Open to both Spanish and international students.

How to apply

First get admitted to your degree. Then apply through the university's Scholarship Portal, which you reach via the Future Student Portal. Applications open for each academic year and close in early June. Check the current window before you apply.

How realistic are your chances?

The standard grant is open to anyone with an 8.0 average in any programme except Medicine. So with strong school results your prospects for the 2,500 to 7,500 EUR discount are good, and the funding covers many students each year. The full 100% scholarship is far tighter: only one top applicant per degree programme wins it, so you need both a 9-plus average and to outrank everyone else in your programme.
