About this scholarship

Personal Excellence Scholarship

You will receive a tuition fee discount of up to 13,500 EUR for a Bachelor’s degree programme at IE University in Spain. This covers between 10% and 60% of your tuition fees. The discount is renewed annually for the entire duration of your studies, provided you continue to meet the renewal criteria. IE University administers and awards this scholarship itself. Both academic achievement and financial need are taken into account, with a focus on your personal strengths such as extra-curricular achievements, leadership qualities and commitment.

Who can apply

  • Degree level: You are starting a Bachelor’s degree (Grado) at IE University.
  • Admission: You have already been admitted to your degree programme. You cannot apply until you have been admitted.
  • Field of study: Every bachelor’s degree programme at IE University is recognised.
  • Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
  • Financial need: Your family’s financial situation will be assessed, so your parents or guardians will need to provide details of your financial situation.
  • Merit: What counts is your career to date – in particular your achievements, your leadership qualities and your potential.

How to apply

Once you have been admitted, please apply for financial support via the online platform my.ie.edu before the start of your studies. You may apply for up to three scholarships, but only one of these will be awarded. There is no fixed application deadline. Applications are assessed on a first-come, first-served basis, and as funds are limited, you should apply as early as possible. You will usually receive a response within one to three weeks.

How realistic are your chances?

This funding is open to all enrolled students, regardless of their nationality or field of study, meaning that the pool of applicants is very broad. Meeting the minimum requirements does not in itself guarantee approval. What sets applicants apart is a balanced combination of academic achievement and genuine financial need, which the committee assesses collectively. It is particularly important to apply immediately after admission, as the funds will be exhausted as soon as the places have been allocated.
