IE Young Entrepreneurs Scholarship

You will receive a tuition fee discount of up to about 9,000 EUR, which covers up to 45% of your tuition fees at IE University (Segovia, Spain). It is valid for one year. IE University awards this grant to students who have set up or are currently running their own business, project or initiative. The selection panel takes into account both academic merit and financial need; therefore, it is an advantage if you are unable to cover the full cost of your tuition fees yourself.

Who can apply

• Where you study: You have been admitted to a bachelor’s degree programme at IE University in Spain.
• Field of study: Every Bachelor’s degree programme.
• Nationality: Any nationality and any place of residence.
• Your own venture: You have set up or are currently running your own business, project or initiative – whether commercial or social in nature. You must be able to provide concrete evidence of this.
• Financial need: Your family is unable to cover the full cost of your tuition fees, and this will be taken into account alongside your academic performance.

How to apply

Apply for funding via the IE Student Finance Portal as soon as you have been admitted – and always before your course begins. A committee will then review your application and assess your study plans and financial needs.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is aimed at a specific target group: students who can demonstrate that they have set up or run their own business. A mere interest in business is not sufficient. If you can demonstrate a specific project and also prove financial need, your chances are good, as the requirement to have your own business narrows down the field of applicants. Meeting the minimum criteria does not guarantee that you will be awarded the scholarship, and you must apply before the start of your studies.
