ESADE Exchange Scholarships

You will receive a one-off grant of 2,500 EUR to enable you to take part in a semester abroad or an exchange programme as part of your Bachelor’s degree at ESADE. The grant covers only the exchange period, not the rest of your degree. It is provided by ESADE Business & Law School (Ramon Llull University) in Barcelona. It complements ESADE’s Talent Scholarships and is aimed at students who have already secured an exchange place but cannot afford to take part.

Who can apply

• Where you study: You are currently a Bachelor’s student at ESADE in Barcelona or Madrid.
• Exchange place: You have already secured a place on an exchange or study abroad programme that forms part of your degree.
• Grades: You have very good grades. For ESADE, this generally means an average mark of 8.5 out of 10 in your final years of school, or an equivalent level of achievement: 33 out of 42 in the IB, 16.2 out of 20 in the French Baccalauréat, at least 85% of the maximum mark in other systems, or an SAT score of at least 1300.
• Financial need: Your family cannot afford the costs of the exchange. ESADE assesses the family’s income and assets. For its main merit-based scholarships, the income ceiling is 118,000 EUR gross per year for a family of four.
• Field of study: Every degree programme offered at ESADE.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.

How to apply

First, secure your exchange place. You should then apply via ESADE’s online form and provide evidence of your grades and your family’s financial situation. You should only submit your application once your exchange place has been confirmed. ESADE does not specify a fixed application deadline for this scholarship.

How realistic are your chances?

This scholarship is awarded on a highly selective basis: only ESADE undergraduate students who have already secured an exchange place, have very good grades and can demonstrate a genuine financial need are eligible to apply, meaning that the pool of applicants is small. Across the entire ESADE scholarship programme, 46% of the applicants who applied for support were awarded it. If you clearly meet the academic and income requirements and can demonstrate financial need, your chances are good.
