General Description
Geographical Fieldwork Grants are awarded by the Royal Geographical Society. They are given to teams as opposed to individual students. The grants are for geographical field research and exploration outside of the UK. The awards are worth up to £3,000.
Requirements
The teams must have at least three people. One-third of the team must be university students, British citizens or members / Fellows of the Royal Geographical Society. Preference is given to groups that include a mix of members including students, academics and individuals from the country where the research is taking place. The fieldwork funded by the grant must last for at least 30 days. It is only for independent groups so groups connected to any other organisation cannot apply.
