About this scholarship

Henry Fordin Säätiö scholarship

You will receive a grant for your own academic work, your studies or a research project in two areas: motorised transport (vehicle technology, road safety, smart mobility) and mechanised agriculture (tractors and agricultural machinery). The Foundation determines the amount of each grant on a case-by-case basis and awards a substantial total sum each year. In 2026, it awarded a total of 632,600 EUR: 430,100 EUR for transport projects and 202,500 EUR for agriculture. The grant comes from the Henry Ford Foundation Finland (Henry Fordin Säätiö), a Finnish foundation established in 1947, which has since disbursed over 10 million euros. This is not the US company or Henry Ford College.

Who can apply

  • Who you are: You may apply either as an individual for your own academic work, or as a school, college, university, association or organisation for a research project.
  • Field: Your work must fit motorised transport or mechanised agriculture, for example vehicle technology, road safety or farm machinery.
  • Where: The funds are being channelled into teaching and research in Finland.
