Support for attending the ESDR Annual Meeting

You will receive a grant of 1,500 EUR to attend the Annual Meeting of the European Society for Dermatological Research (ESDR), a scientific congress abroad. In the year 2026, it will take place from 9. to 12 September in Heidelberg, Germany. Every year, the French Society of Dermatology (SFD) awards 3 of these grants to enable young French dermatologists to attend and present their research findings.

Who can apply

• Who you are: You are a junior doctor in dermatology and venereology (DES) and an SFD Junior Member or an SFD Clinical Assistant (CCA) with valid membership, or a doctor or researcher working on a dermatological research project as part of 35.
• Degree: You are in the second year of a Master’s degree programme (M2) or have already completed one.
• Presentation: You have submitted a presentation or a poster for the ESDR Congress.
• First time: You have never received this grant before.
• Nationality: You are a young French dermatologist.
• Recommendation: Your line manager or project manager will put you forward.

How to apply

Please send your application by 30 April by email or post to the SFD. Applications will be assessed in mid-May, and applicants will be notified of the results at the end of May.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is strictly limited: only 3 grants are awarded to young French dermatologists who are members of the SFD, or to early-career researchers aged under 35 whose presentation or poster has already been accepted for the ESDR Congress. This accepted presentation is the key selection criterion. If you clear this hurdle and meet the membership and age requirements, the pool of eligible applicants is small and your chances are good. Make sure you apply by the deadline in April.
