Fondazione Perugia Musica Classica - Premio Leandro Roscini-Giancarlo Padalino

Premio Leandro Roscini-Giancarlo Padalino

You receive 15,000 EUR to pay for an advanced or specialisation music course at a respected institution in Italy or abroad. The money covers course fees, travel, accommodation and living costs. It is paid in two halves: 7,500 EUR once you are named the winner and show you have been admitted to your course, and 7,500 EUR once you prove you have completed it. One winner is chosen each year. The award is funded by the Fondazione Perugia Musica Classica from a legacy left to support young Italian instrumentalists.

Who can apply

• You play an instrument: Any instrument counts, with no restriction.
• Degree: You hold a music degree in your instrument, either a three-year bachelor or a two-year master, from a higher music college (Istituto Superiore di Studi Musicali) in Italy or abroad.
• Recent graduate: You earned that degree in 2021 or later.
• Nationality: You are Italian.
• First-time winner: You have not won this award in an earlier edition.
• Umbria tie-break: If two applicants score equally, graduates of Umbrian music colleges (AFAM institutions) get priority.

How to apply

Apply by email to the foundation by 30 November 2025. Include a video of at least 30 minutes with complete, unedited pieces of your choice. The jury may then invite you to a 20-minute audition and announces its final, binding decision by December.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is cut narrowly and only one person wins each year, so a single high-value prize draws a focused field of recent Italian music graduates. If you fit the profile cleanly, graduated from 2021 onward and can present a strong recording plus a clear plan for a serious specialisation course, your prospects are real. Graduates of Umbrian music colleges hold an edge in a tie, and a convincing video and course proposal matter most.
