About this scholarship
What you get
You will receive a annual scholarship of about 366 EUR, as well as free tuition fees and free meals. The amount depends on your family’s income and the distance between your home and the university. If you live too far away to commute daily, you may also be eligible for subsidised student accommodation. The money is paid out in two instalments per academic year. It is provided by Vita-Salute San Raffaele University (UniSR) in Milan in accordance with the Italian regulations on student financial support for the Lombardy region.
Students who commute or do not live at home receive the higher amounts. Those whose place of residence is approximately 60 minutes from the campus receive the lower amount. There are also additional allowances: Women studying STEM subjects such as biotechnology or health informatics receive +20%; students enrolled on two degree programmes simultaneously receive +20%; and students with a disability of 66% or higher receive up to +40%. There are also grants of 600 euros per month (for up to 10 months) as well as travel expenses for study exchanges abroad. For 2026/2027, a total of around 140 scholarships are available for first-year and advanced students.

How realistic are your chances?
This scholarship is tied to a specific university and subject to strict income limits, meaning that only students studying at UniSR who genuinely need the support can apply for it. With around 140 scholarships per year and a ranking system based primarily on your income bracket (in the first year) or your credit points and marks (in subsequent years), your chances are good provided you stay within the ISEE upper limit and achieve the required credit point targets. Apply in good time and register by the November deadline to be included on the final list.
