About this scholarship

Women in Business Scholarship at Luiss Business School

You will receive a up to 16,000 EUR discount on the tuition fees for the full-time MBA at Luiss Business School in Rome, Italy. This reduces the programme fee of 40,000 EUR by up to 40%. The MBA lasts 12 months and is taught in English. The scholarship is awarded to the best applicants, not to those with the greatest financial need. This is exclusively a reduction in tuition fees: you will still be required to pay the remainder of the tuition fees and cover the costs of accommodation, living expenses, travel and study materials yourself.

Who can apply

  • Women only: Only female candidates may apply.
  • Admission: You must be admitted to the Luiss full-time MBA programme. This means that you must pass the entrance tests: the Luiss BS Logic Test, or a GMAT score of at least 515, or a GRE score of at least 145.
  • Degree: You hold a first degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent).
  • Work experience: You have at least three years’ relevant professional experience.
  • English: You have a very good command of English at level C1 or above (e.g. IELTS 7.0 or TOEFL iBT 100).
  • Field of study: We welcome applicants from all professional and academic backgrounds.
  • Nationality: Any nationality can apply.

How to apply

Applications are made as part of the admissions process for the full-time MBA. Please state in your personal statement that you wish to apply for the women’s scholarship. A selection panel will assess your results in the admissions test, your academic grades, your professional experience (CV and at least one letter of recommendation) and your personal statement. Please submit your complete MBA application by 31 May.

How realistic are your chances?

Only 20 scholarships are awarded across four categories, and selection is based solely on merit, meaning that competition amongst the strong female applicants is very fierce. As the scholarship is restricted to women who have been admitted to the MBA programme, the pool of applicants is smaller than for a fully open scholarship. If you clearly meet the requirements regarding your degree, three years’ professional experience and C1 level of English, and submit a compelling application, your prospects are good.
