What you get

In Perugia, you can buy a 10-journey ticket for local public transport (a multi-journey ticket valid for 10 single journeys), known as the “UP”, for 9 EUR instead of the standard fare. It is valid on the city’s public transport network. The discount is provided by the University of Perugia in collaboration with the Circolo Universitario San Martino and Minimetrò S.p.A. to make students’ daily commutes easier and to promote more environmentally friendly modes of transport.

Who can apply

• Who you are: You are enrolled at the University of Perugia. University staff may also take advantage of this offer.
• Proof: If you are a student, please present your student record book or student ID card. If you are a member of staff, please present your staff ID card or your Circolo San Martino membership card.
• Field of study: All subjects qualify.
• Nationality: Any nationality, provided you are enrolled.
• Financial need: None. There are no requirements regarding income or grades.

How to apply

You buy the carnet in person at the MMpoint office inside the Minimetrò S.p.A. offices at the Pian di Massiano station in Perugia. Bring your proof of enrolment. It is open Monday to Thursday 09:00-13:00 and 15:30-19:00, and Friday 09:00-13:00.

How realistic are your chances?

This is a permanent discount, not a merit-based scholarship. There is neither a selection process nor an application deadline. If you are enrolled at the University of Perugia and can show your student ID card, you can simply buy the ticket at the reduced price.
