About this scholarship
Jarvis Centenary Scholarship
You will receive 6,900 EUR in total (£6,000), paid in three annual instalments of 2,300 EUR (£2,000) over the three-year duration of your studies. The scholarship is awarded by the University of Hertfordshire in England. It is awarded to a first-year undergraduate student who lives in a specific area near the university.
Who can apply
- Level: You are starting your first Bachelor’s degree at the University of Hertfordshire.
- Where you live: You live in one of these postcode areas in the United Kingdom: AL5, LU1 or LU2 (the Harpenden and Luton area).
- Grades: You have the best admission results – measured in UCAS points – of all first-year students from these postcode areas.
- Field of study: Every subject at the university.
How to apply
No application is required. The scholarship is automatically awarded to the new student with the highest UCAS tariff points from the eligible postcode areas.
How realistic are your chances?
This award is granted on a highly selective basis. Only first-year students from three postcode areas near the university are eligible, and it is awarded to the single student with the highest entry grades. If you live in this area and have very good UCAS points, you stand a real chance, as the pool of eligible applicants is small. However, as there is only one place available, your marks must be better than those of all other students from the same postcode areas.
