General Description

Students Finance England provides Disabled Students’ Allowances (DSAs). It includes scholarships for students with disabilities, long-term health conditions, mental health conditions and such learning difficulties as dyslexia or dyspraxia. The amount of money paid to the students varies from roughly £ 1,300 to even around £ 20,000 a year, depending on the specific purposes and needs. These purposes include: special equipment, helpers not connected to therapy (eg., readers), additional costs of travel (attributable to the health problem) and other costs. To apply, the students need to fill in the form called DSA1.

Requirements

These scholarships are available to undergraduate or postgraduate students (both full time and part time) in the UK, with specific conditions listed above, who study on a course that is at least 1 year long.
