What you get

You will have the opportunity to spend part of your degree programme abroad, either by studying at a partner university or by undertaking a work placement. The amount depends on how expensive your destination is: more for countries with a higher cost of living (for example, Germany, France, Ireland and the Nordic countries); a medium rate for countries such as Spain, Greece and Portugal; and less for countries with a lower cost of living, such as Poland, Croatia and Romania. You can spend between 2 and 12 months abroad. The courses you complete abroad will count in full towards your ISEC Lisboa degree, and you will not pay any tuition fees at the host university. If you travel by train, bus or carpool, you’ll receive a one-off grant of 50 EUR for eco-friendly travel. If you have a disability, health conditions or come from a disadvantaged background, you can apply for additional inclusion funding. ISEC Lisboa in Portugal administers this through the EU’s Erasmus+ programme.

Who can apply

• Your university: You are enrolled at ISEC Lisboa in Lisbon, Portugal.
• Degree level: You are studying on a short technical degree programme (CTeSP), a Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree programme. If you graduated within the last 12 months, you can still undertake an internship abroad.
• Study progress: You are in at least your first year of study and have earned at least 60 ECTS credits before the start of your stay.
• Fees paid: Your tuition fees have been paid in full.
• Field of study: All degree programmes are eligible. The choice of study locations depends on the partner universities in your region.
• Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply, provided they are enrolled at ISEC Lisboa.

How to apply

You must apply to the Office for International Relations at ISEC Lisboa by 15 February for a placement in the next academic year. For a study exchange, please list up to three partner universities where you would like to study. For an internship, you must find a placement yourself, for example via erasmusintern.org. Places and funding are allocated based on a ranking list determined by your grades and your motivation.

How realistic are your chances?

This scholarship is open exclusively to students who are already enrolled at ISEC Lisboa; the pool of applicants is therefore limited to students at this university. Funding is limited and awarded on a merit basis, so good grades and a clear statement of motivation are crucial. Even without a scholarship, you can study abroad under the ‘Zero-Grant’ option and receive full credit for your course units. A suitable applicant who applies by the deadline has a good chance of success.
