About this scholarship
What you get
You will receive a monthly grant for up to 10 months (one academic year), which will be paid in three instalments in January, March and May. The amount is determined individually for each student. It depends on your household’s per capita income and any grants you may already be receiving from your university. The total amount of funding must not exceed the Portuguese minimum monthly wage. If you have applied for a grant from your own university and been refused, the local authority may cover the full amount. The funds are provided by the Municipality of Oliveira do Bairro (Câmara Municipal de Oliveira do Bairro). You can renew the grant every year until you complete your studies, provided you continue to meet the eligibility criteria.
