Scholarships are available at the University of Leeds for students who enter the university through an alternative entry or access scheme. This includes Access to Leeds, Realising Opportunities, or a foundation year. The scholarship is worth £3,000 for each year and is paid in cash.
In order to be eligible applicants must be the first of their family to enter higher education, and they should not have previous experience in higher education. They must be part of a full-time, non-NHS funded undergraduate degree course. They must also pay full tuition fees. And they must come from homes where the household income is £25,000 a year or less. Students who come from disadvantaged backgrounds are given priority. Interests, accomplishments, academic potential, and personal circumstances are also taken into account.
