General Description

The William R McFarlane Scholarship is to be awarded to one high achieving student. This prestigious award is worth £15,000 per year and tenable for up to three years (subject to satisfactory progress). Part of the scholarship will be used to cover tuition fees, the remaining sum will be paid to the awardee as a stipend + research allowance (£450).

Requirements

Applicants are required to propose PhD projects closely related to Scottish emigration and/or the impact of Scottish mobility on overseas countries or related themes.
